The TRA organized a workshop titled “A broad Vision for a new Broadcast Evolution” on the 9th of January 2009 at the Bristol Hotel.

This workshop discussed:

• The current FM and TV Broadcasting situation and the difficulties that the sector is facing today.
• The launched consultation that  the TRA duly plans to adopt in an effort to improve the FM broadcasting
• The consultation launched by the TRA regarding the  plan to migrate from analog to digital TV broadcasting, which is based on the Geneva 2006 Agreement.

The Minister of telecommunications H.E .Eng. Gebran Bassil, the Minister of Information H.E. Mr. Tarek Mitri, the Chairman of the national council of  media and information Mr. Abdel Hadi Mahfouz as well as GM’s and IT Managers of TV stations, Managers of FM stations,  MOT counselors to the minister, film production companies and Media for coverage attended the workshop.
